February Bring and Buy Sale, Donations and Volunteers Welcome

Winter is already more than halfway over, at least according to the calendar!! By now you’ve had time to get things back into order after the holidays. You´ve probably found that you have items that you really have no use for, even though they’re still in very good condition. Do yourself and AWC a favor and bring them to the Clubhouse for our next Bring and Buy Sale, which will be held on Monday, February 9th from 10,30 to 2. What we earn at Bring and Buy helps us to maintain our Club and also to donate to our charitable causes in the Community of Madrid. We accept toys, gently worn clothing and accessories, shoes, jewelry, books, household articles and linens, small pieces of furniture, and baby equipment (carriages/prams, strollers, etc.) Whatever we don´t manage to sell is directly donated to charity. Drop in with your donations any weekday from 10-4. Your help is also most welcome for Operation Set Up, taking place on Thursday and Friday, February 5th and 6th from 11-4. During the set up we price and arrange our merchandise for Monday's sale. No heavy work involved if you’re not up to it.

February Bulletin Now on Web Page and AWC Facebook

The February Bulletin has gone to press. Paper copies will be available at the Clubhouse at some point during the last week of January. Please notify Nancy if you plan to drop by and pick up your copy in person, as it cuts down on postal expenses. Until you have your paper copy, take advantage and check out the online version. All you have to do is click onto it under "Latest Bulletins", directly to the right of this article. Up to date information on AWC activities as well as on events and issues of interest to the Madrid community can also be found on our facebook page at
