Chef Pong at the Siam Restaurant is preparing a special, authentic Thai meal for our ladies. It will include sticky rice and meat dishes steamed in banana leaves, with a variety of savoury spices. Social Meeting: Imants Liegis - Ambassador of Latvia

The first ever handbag exchange
Date: Monday November 17
Time: 11:00 coffee, 11:30 or when we are ready to start the exchange.
Place: The Clubhouse
This idea comes from a friend of mine who said their Club in Buenos Aires did this and it was loads of fun and a great success. They also did it with costume jewelry, which we may consider for a future activity.
You bring a handbag, or more than one if you wish, on the morning of the exchange. We will display them and then, in order, from numbers chosen from a bowl, you get to choose a new bag to take home. You can take as many bags as you bring in. In the event that you do not need any more handbags, bring one in and sit and watch the fun without taking one. All leftover handbags will go to Bring & Buy for the Club.

The annual U.S. Embassy Morning Coffee event, generously hosted by Mrs. Teresa Aguirre, wife of Ambassador Eduardo Aguirre, will be held at the United States Embassy residence. Current ID must be presented to Nancy, at the clubhouse, well before the event.

The annual Thanksgiving “mini bazaar” with 15 – 20 vendors, will be held in the cafeteria. ID must be presented at entrance. You must call Megan O’Hanlon to sign up with ID number 91 587 2213.

Thanksgiving

Place: Clubhouse
Price: With a dish, 8 euros. Without a dish, 15 euros
We are again celebrating Thanksgiving at the clubhouse with a sit down dinner.
Each of us will bring a dish, for example, an appetizer, a vegetable dish or a dessert, and the club will provide the turkey and drinks. Husbands are welcome.
