NEWSFLASH! This year Bring and Buy is planning to have a table at the Christmas Bazaar. We would like it to have a mostly fancy, holiday attire, and accessories look. So if you have something along these lines or even just some very nice items for men, women or children, please bring them to the Club and mark the bag Bring and Buy Bazaar.
At the October Sale we made 825€ after pay outs. Our profits are slowly rising, but we haven’t reached last year’s levels. As usual we had a great group of volunteers, even cleaning up the lunch table, loading the dishwasher and vacuuming since Teresa was out with an injury. As a result we didn’t get out as early as we usually do.
To add a bit of interest to our Sale Day lunches Heather has agreed to make some of her gourmet specialties for us. This month we had tiny curried meatballs with rice, a spinach/blue cheese salad and a cranberry cake. It was really a huge success. Thank you, Heather. Remember, lunch is free if you are on the clean-up team.
This month we were able to collaborate with St. George’s and donated bags of clothes and toys to their baby bazaar. We also gave ACOGEM several more bags and boxes after our sorting.
Our November sale is an All Donation Sales. One hundred percent of the profits go to our club. Keep this in mind when you are going through your winter wardrobe. At present the sweater table is very low, so look around, ask your friends and help us to restock.
As usual we appreciate all of the help setting up and cleaning up. Thank you.
