President's Letter

Hello to all of my friends,

“When the goin’ gets tough, the tough get goin’” as I mentioned to Nancy the other day!

How wonderful to see our members pulling through to offer help for the upcoming Christmas bazaar! What a great feeling to be surrounded by both talented and hard working women. I have always felt very blessed to be a member of the Club and to have the privilege of meeting such a terrific group of caring people.

We have a hard road up ahead until the Bazaar date on Sunday, November 23rd. It’ll be exciting to see and be in an entirely new venue – the Hotel InterContinental, which promises to be a recipe for success: oodles of room and energy and above all, HOLIDAY SPIRIT, to ready us all for a long December!

Once again too, I will be requesting of you all that you roll up your sleeves and dig in your heels to dedicate a little time to a worthy cause. We need you and your helping hands. It occurs to me that if each and every one of us spends just one afternoon from here until November 23rd to be a part of the effort, the Bazaar will be the amazing! Please let us know how you feel you can be of help in any of the following ways:

• By visiting your favorite restaurant and requesting a DINNER FOR TWO for a raffle prize. Any donor will be fully advertised in our bulletin and on the day of the bazaar over the P.A. system and on our donors’ Board.
• By using any personal contacts to canvass for new donations for raffle and tombola. Likewise, their generosity will be recognized publically.
• By weeding through your Christmas decorations and selecting something nice to help decorate the venue the day of the bazaar.
• By baking some cookies, brownies, pumpkin pie, zucchini loaf, applesauce cake, deserts or freezable hors d’oeuvres.
• By cooking up some chili or some other luscious dish or potato/cole slaw salads for sale the day of the bazaar.
• By helping to organize books and magazines.
• By preparing handicrafts or Christmas decorations for sale.
• Or by simply helping with Santa, children’s corner, set up, clean up, logistics for moving and a long etcetera.

Thanks to you all, the Bazaar will not be a hair-raising, but rather a FUN fund-raising event!!!!
Hugs, and to all “Peace, love and goodwill”
Suzie
