Club Re-opens August 16th!

The American Women's Club will re-open after a summer break, on August 16th. Activities will officially start in September, but now's a great time to stop in and pick up a new book from the library or come update members about what you did over the summer.

If you've e-mailed the club and haven't heard back from us, don't worry! We'll be checking and responding to e-mails all this week. Also you can call the club starting on the 16th and speak directly to a member.

Big Weekend for AWC members!

Our MEMBERS ONLY PRESALE takes place tomorrow, Friday June 11th from 4 - 8 pm. It's a great opportunity to shop and try on in comfort. Great bargains are available. Henie and Jenny will be here so give them a call if you are on your way!
We don't have to even remind the rest of you that helpers for cleaning up on Monday are aalways welcome!

Thank you to all of the members who participated in the AWC Spring Fundraiser 50/50 Raffle. Whether you bought tickets for yourself or sold to tickets to others, your efforts were greatly appreciated.

Thanks to you, 732 euros was raised and much of this came in the last week.

The lucky winner is AWC member Shirley Anderson!

To those of you that pledged money via an email or phone call to Nancy, thanks for stepping in this way and please remember to get the funds to the Club soon - (you can pick up your May bulletin personally!)

Dance and Tapas Night

Please joing AWC as they have a fun tapas night with a twist- dance. Jennifer Lopez, a trained American dance instructor, will be demonstrating and teaching a few of her unique dance styles- Afro Groove and popular video music dances. As always AWC will provide lots of wine, and participants bring the tapas. This is a special event for AWC because we are inviting the great women from INC as well, so it's looking like it will a great event. Space is limited, so please sign up by calling the AWC clubhouse.

Happy Easter Vacation and Celebrations. The AWC Clubhouse is open as usual and hoping that you will be stopping by. Great things are happening this month of April and even better things are being planned!

BOOK SALE BOOK SALE BOOK SALE!

Please join AWC on Saturday, March 27th for their annual Spring Book sale. This is a great opportunity to stock up on books for extremely low prices. Pastries and chili will be available and it's always a fun and lively event.

Most books are in English, but we have such a variety there is always something for everyone.

If you're a club member and are able to volunteer to sort and price books, the club needs help on Thursday and Friday before the sale, 25th and 26th. We also need volunteers to make chili and baked goods.

O'Tapas Night

Happy St. Patrick's Day. On Wednesday AWC will hold their monthly tapas night, but with an Irish twist. Come on over and enjoy a green beer and some irish soda bread (and our usual great tapas as well). This should be a fun event. And don't forget to wear green.

Social Meeting- March 12- Time Change

Quick note. The social meeting scheduled for noon on March 12th, is being pushed back an hour to 1pm. After the meeting a special lunch will be offered, so please let Nancy know if you'll be staying for that.

Chinese New Year Lunch

This Friday, February 26, AWC members will meet at China Crown restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year. We will have a private room and a special menu to choose from, but space is limited so please confim with Nancy at the club if you'll be attending. Hope to see everyone there!

Make your own beauty products

New AWC member, Catherine Clark, will introduce club members on how to make ahomemade facial. Catherine will demonstrate how to make Rosewater Makeup Remover, a Floral Face Steam and a Fresh Tomato Face Mask. She will have other homemade
products for members to try. Each participant needs to bring a towel and a small ½ ml. bottle with a tight-fitting lid In order to take products home after the presentation.
In addition to leaving with clean, hydrated, and glorious-looking skin, Catherine will provide members with recipes for the products made during the presentation. Cost is 12
