Social Meeting- March 12- Time Change

Quick note. The social meeting scheduled for noon on March 12th, is being pushed back an hour to 1pm. After the meeting a special lunch will be offered, so please let Nancy know if you'll be staying for that.

This month's social meeting looks to be very interesting. Mary Prendergast, PhD will be presenting, "Hot or Not? The anthropology of physical attraction." The last time someone made your head turn, were you responding with
your mind or your body? Is physical attraction shaped our culture, our biology, or both? From coil-stretched necks and bound feet to steroid-pumped muscles and stick-thin supermodels, we'll explore what makes men and women attractive, and we'll ask whether beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or is controlled by something less controllable...our genes.
