The American Women’s Club (AWC) monthly Bring and Buy Sale will be held on Monday, January 11th from 10,30-2. Since Santa Claus and the Three Kings took most of our toys to local children, we´ve decided to take advantage of this month´s extra space to display some of the art work that we have accumulated. Our prize piece of artwork to hopefully be sold on Monday is a numbered and signed print named "Inocencia" donated to AWC by the well-known Columbian artist Omar Gordillo. (see picture in the attachment below). So in addition to our usual selection of gently worn clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, accessories and household linens/gadgets and books, this month’s Sale will have the added attraction of some artwork. Tell you friends about the Sale; come in to shop or to lend a hand with the customers. Bring any donations that you´d like to contribute. We are located at Plaza Ecuador, 6. That’s right next to Talleres Ecuador and on the corner with Calle Oruro, walking distance from Metro Colombia. If you need more information about the Sale, please ring the Club on Monday starting at 10 a.m. at 91-457-1108 or 636 863 923.
The American Women’s Club will be reopening on Thursday, January 7th at 10 a.m. On that very day we´ll start setting up for our Monday, January 11th Bring and Buy Sale. After our Christmas Sale in December we gave many, many bags to various charities. So as you put away all your new Christmas/Reyes presents, look around your closets and bring us all of your gently worn clothing, household textiles, toys, handbags and the like. We need to fill our racks again to keep the ball rolling for 2016. Please do not give us summer clothing, as we have no place to store it. Also welcome are your donations of household gadgets and linens, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc. Bring them all to the Clubhouse starting on Thursday, January 7th from 10-4. You can even bring things in on the day of the Sale itself, Monday the 11th. We´d likewise appreciate all volunteers possible for the set up and the sales day. We will be setting up on Thursday and Friday, January 7th and 8th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you need more information about the Sale or how to make donations, ring the Club starting on Thursday, January 7th from 10-4 at 91-457-1108 or cell phone 636 863 923.
AWC will be open this Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 21st and 22nd during our regular hours from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. There will be bridge and the bridge refresher course on Monday at 11 am. and 2 p.m. respectively. Tuesday will feature a coffee morning at a member's home (contact Nancy to see if it´s still possible to sign up) and Handicrafts at 11 as well as Mahjong also at 11. The Canasta group will meet on Tuesday at 2,30 p.m. The Club will close for the Christmas holidays on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, January 7th at 10 a.m. On that Thursday we´ll start setting up for our Monday, Jan. 11th Bring and Buy. Watch this web page for more details on the Janaury Bring and Buy. For information on these events, ring the Clubhouse at 91-457-1108 or 636 863 923 from 10-4 this Monday or Tuesday.
