Membership News

Jackie and Linda spent the weekend getting the word out about AWC. On Saturday it was off to the International College of Spain. Then on Sunday we visited the American School of Madrid. Many interested women stopped at the table, took information and provided us with email information.

Linda gorged herself on the paella at ICS and the barbecue at ASM, and baked goods at both. She is more than willing to attend more of these functions to eat, er, represent AWC.

Check out the pictures in the Membership Gallery.

Wine Tasting and Paella

in

On Friday, September 18, at 7:00PM, at The American Women’s Club; we will have our favourite winemaster, Cesar Varona, return with a special treat. Not only is he preparing to dazzle our senses with some new exotic wines; he’s going to feed us also. Nothing fancy...but he’s cooking up a paella to die for. And to insure that he gathers the freshest fish and ingredients, he’s dragging me to the Fish Market at 5:00 AM to assist with “the catch of the day”.
