Christmas Cocktail Party at AWC

in

For those of us who are lucky enough to be in Madrid for the holidays, you and your date are invited to AWC’s Christmas Cocktail Party, on Thursday, Dec 18 at 7:30PM. It will be AWC´s Christmas present to you, our members.

The evening tapas will be catered, and we will have a singer and Mariachi group to entertain us. However, any of you great cooks who wish to bring a special dish – please feel free; as homemade is always best.

Aside from your partner for the evening; non-member invitees will be charged 10€. Please sign up at the clubhouse by December 15. Ring 91-457-1108 from 10-4.

Bring and Buy Sale on December 15th, Donations and Helping Hands Welcome

in

Our next AWC monthly Bring and Buy Sale will take place from 10,30-2 on Monday, December 15th. Bring your friends and come and do your Christmas shopping!! Our merchandise is in very good condition, and some things are actually brand new, with sales tickets still on them. If you´d like to stay and help us run the sale, attend customers, or just keep the merchandise is good order, you´re more than welcome. You can also bring in your donations on the morning of the sale itself. In addition to clothing, we also accept handbags (always in demand!), shoes, books, kitchen accessories and household linens, decorative items, small pieces of furniture, and toys in good condition. Any toys that we don´t sell at our sale will be directly donated to local parishes for children whose Christmas is not looking all that bright. Another option for those who'd like to lend us a hand is coming to Operation Clean Up, which starts at 2 p.m. and lasts until about 4,30 or 5. The more hands to unhang, sort and bag merchandise, the sooner we finish! For more information about our December Bring and Buy Sale, contact the Club any weekday from 10-4 at 91-457-1108.
